With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce Betty Hastings passed peacefully from this world onto the next on October 7, 2024, in her home. Surrounded by family and her dog Cristy in her final days, her passing marked 99 years that she was blessed with a long and full life, and a deep unending enthusiasm for travel, the beauty of nature, and joys of the Christmas holiday to name a few.

Betty was born in Tulsa, OK on May 17, 1925, to Homer F. Wilcox Sr. and Olga (Langdon) Wilcox, she was the third of five siblings. She attended Monte Cassino then Holland Hall where she graduated in 1943. She married Harold "Mac" S. McClintock Jr. in 1949, and they had two children and divorced in 1964. She married E. Grant Hastings Jr. in 1977, who passed away in 2009.

Betty was an inspiration to all that knew her. As a distinctly independent woman, she lived alone and self- sufficiently into her 97th year. A lifelong Tulsan, Betty was active in the Tulsa Mrs. Club and various bowling leagues through the years. She was a great animal lover and always had at least one pet. Betty had a love for jigsaw puzzles and a sweet spot for chocolate, especially a Harry & David dark chocolate truffle a day, and simple pleasures that brought her joy throughout her life.  The one constant in Betty's life was Platte Lake in Michigan, where she cherished spending summers starting from the time she was a child into her 90's.

In addition to her husband Grant, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter Lynn McRill, and her four siblings. She is survived by her son Mike McClintock of San Diego, CA, stepson Nord Hastings of San Jose, CA, sister-in-law Beverly Wilcox of Tulsa and many nieces & nephews. The family would like to thank caretakers Marilyn Clayton & Carole Ramsey for their support and dedication. No services are planned, and Betty's ashes will rest at St. John's Episcopal Church in Tulsa.
