Bobby Pool

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Gene Pool, a cherished brother, uncle, stepfather, grandfather, and no truer friend, who left this world on July 3, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 10, 1950, Robert lived a life full of love, dedication and generosity, leaving an unmistakable mark on all who knew him, especially to those who called him Bobby.

Robert was the only son of Bob and Catheryne Pool, who preceded him in death, along with his beloved wife, Marianne Robinson Pool. His sisters, Deborah and Nancy, mourn his loss along with his nieces, Ashley and Bailey. His stepchildren, Aardron, Avery, and Havala, remember him fondly as a source of wisdom and support for over 50 years. He was known as grandpa by Conor, Grace, and Auron, and though the next generation, Rosemary and Violet, may not have had the chance to enjoy time with him as their great-grandfather, his spirit and legacy will undoubtedly be a part of their lives. He passed down aspects of life that went far beyond blood and he taught, by example, all the things that will develop deeply caring relationships for a lifetime.

Robert dedicated over four decades to Thermal Industries, where he filled many roles and led numerous special projects with innovation, experience, and tenacity—projects that advanced the company in multiple directions. His contributions ranged from the inception of the company's intranet to the meticulous planning of their current building, showcasing his exceptional skill and foresight. While he worked a myriad of jobs in his youth, from being a truck driver to a frame and finish carpenter along with others, he was destined for the window business.

Music was a constant in Robert's life; he was a lifelong aspiring guitarist who usually kept a guitar close at hand and practiced during any lull or pause that arose in an unending endeavor to become as good at it as he wanted to be. His personal bar was high and only he thought he never reached it. In addition to his musical pursuits, Robert kept abreast with current computer hardware technology needed to learn and use the newest, and often complicated, software, along with a penchant for electronic gadgets. He was known for his readiness to assist friends and family with his extensive knowledge of construction and renovation with an ever expanding set of tools he wielded with deft skill and unwavering confidence. He often put his own projects on hold to lend a helping hand.

Robert's presence was both commanding and comforting, marked by a willful personality that made him seem larger than life. His ability to meaningfully connect with people, along with his unwavering support for those he loved, will be profoundly missed.

As we gather to celebrate Robert's life, let us remember him for the joy he brought to our lives, the love he shared, the lessons he knowingly and unknowingly taught, and the legacy he leaves behind. May his memory be a comfort and a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him
