Bruce Alan Thompson, 73, of Tulsa passed peacefully on November 20, 2025.  Bruce was born August 30, 1952 to Jess J. Thompson and Claire Jean (Price) Thompson in Parsons, KS.  He was raised in Quapaw, OK where he was known as "Big Un" for his large stature.  Later he was known as Uncle Moose to his nieces and nephews but his favorite name was Granddad as no one has ever delighted in their grandchildren more than Bruce did. Bruce is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Janet Hare Thompson, daughter Janell Woods, husband Matt, grandchildren Dalton Baumann, Channing Baumann, Griffin Woods and his son Wade Thompson as well as his sisters JoClee Bush and Margo Hudelson all of Tulsa and many nieces and nephews.  Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister, Kerry Thompson. He was a talented woodworker and crafted many beautiful pieces of furniture, turned bowls and other gifts that his loved ones cherish. Bruce loved the outdoors; hunting, camping and fishing all his life.  In his later years he spent the majority of his time at Oologah Lake's Hawthorne Bluff.  He had many camping and fishing buddies there who will miss his fish call "Come on fish" in his drawling baritone voice.
