Carol B. Kamp, 83, of Tulsa , Oklahoma passed away on June 30, 2018. Carol was born on September 19, 1934 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas. She attended Hendrix College and moved to Tulsa in 1966.
Carol was a member of All Souls Unitarian Church and a charter member of Hope Unitarian Church. She was an avid supporter of the arts, including the Tulsa Philharmonic, Tulsa Opera and Tulsa Ballet. She enjoyed singing with Vintage Voices and in her church choir. Her other interest included volunteering for numerous organizations such as Ability Resources, University of Tulsa, Philbrook Museum of Art and Assistance League of Tulsa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore J. and Dorothy Bailey; and a brother, Theodore Bailey,Jr.
Carol is survived by her brother, Howard and Kay (sister-in-law) Bailey; her children, Peter and Janie (daughter-in-law) Kamp, Lisa and Phillip (son-in-law) Steedman, David Kamp, and Markus and Merry (daughter-in-law) Kamp. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held between the hours of 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at her residence.In lieu of flowers, Carol requested donations be made to Tulsa Ballet by clinking the link on this page.
