Carole Berrigan's Obituary
Carole Denise Berrigan, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away, surrounded by her family, on Sunday March 25th, at the age of 55. Carole was born to Nancy and Thomas Jamerson, January 9th, 1963, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Debra Kaye Carter, Carole's sister, was born the following year. Carole married Michael Berrigan in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1984. They brought into the world three daughters; Kathleen Mae Berrigan-Lockhart (1985), Emily Michelle Berrigan (1989) and Amelia Marie Berrigan (2002). Carole will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Cecilia Mae Lockhart and Louis David Lockhart, children of Kathleen and husband Erik Lockhart.
Carole dedicated her life to family. She thought of others first, orchestrating the happiness of everyone around her. During this time, Carole also continued her education, and received a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Langston University in 2002. While maintaining her education and career, she always made time to support and nourish her children's interests. She organized PTA fundraisers and scheduled soccer leagues. Her love of music inspired her girls' involvement in choir and piano, and she never missed a performance. Throughout Carole's career she worked as an office administrator, often in churches. She was always giving of her time and affection, in her professional and family life.
Carole devoted herself to her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was bringing peace and happiness to her surroundings. She also enjoyed nurturing her garden, and was truly happy in the presence of nature. She will be remembered as passionately loving and giving.
Service is scheduled for Wednesday April 4th, 10:00am, in the Chapel at Holy Family Cathedral (located downstairs). A reception will follow in the Halpine Room, adjacent to the chapel, at Holy Family. All are welcome to celebrate Carole's life at the service and/or reception.
