Connie Beth Jordan of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on July 31, 2018. Connie was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on March 10, 1955 to the Rev. Jack W. Jordan and Jerry(Spencer) Jordan. As a preachers kid, Connie attended schools in Bartlesville, Enid, Duncan, Oklahoma City, Garber, Collinsville and graduated high school in 1973 from Purcell High School. She attended Oklahoma State University where she studied drama and received her Bachelor of Science degree in education in 1978. She loved the technical aspect of the theater, especially sound and lighting and had an excellent eye and ear for adding those components to productions. She later worked in the Los Angeles theater community and received several awards and recognition for her work. Connie made many lifelong friends in Stillwater and was a member of a comedy improv group that entertained at several local venues. While not, completely verifiable, Connie claimed to have been the first person to dance at a little bar called Eskimo Joes. She probably was.

The day after graduating from OSU, Connie moved to Alaska with a friend for a "summer job" that would last a little over two years. She worked on an excursion train. She hired on as a a chef for a Norwegian crab boat in the Aleutian Islands and worked at the Alyeska Ski Resort in Girdwood. Her next move was to Lake Tahoe and then Breckenridge, Colorado where she worked at Beaver Run Ski Resort becoming an accomplished skier in the process.

California called and she answered. Several college friends and other "buddies" had relocated there and following her work in theater she went to work for Turner Construction Company. She held several positions during her 20+ year career including construction site manager, job estimator and was a key contributor to many interesting projects including the Jurassic Park-The Ride at Universal Studios. Turner transferred Connie to San Diego and she loved it there. She especially loved her time at the San Diego Harbor with all of her friends at Lonnie and Elaine's dock. Connie collected classic guitars, was a very good guitarist in her own right and enjoyed many countless hours of jamming with friends.

Connie returned to Oklahoma in 2015 to be closer to family and moved to Tulsa. She was a life long lover of animals and nature and a supporter of the ASPCA, Sierra Club and other organizations. Her two favorite four legged companions were Sophie and more recently Roxy, the most loyal Golden Retriever ever.

Connie's great sense of humor, her outrageous laugh, her completely unique outlook and approach to life and intense loyalty to her many friends and family members will never be forgotten. She is and always will be greatly missed.

Connie is survived by her mother, Jerry Jordan of Tulsa, brother Mark Jordan and his wife Jana of Stillwater, nephew Bayley Jordan and his wife Jennifer of Oklahoma City, niece Dr. Evan Jordan of Oklahoma City, aunt Anne Spencer of Spring, TX, cousins Rick Taylor and wife Debbie, Betty Gordon of Waco, TX and Brian Spake and wife Danielle of Houston and countless friends and other family.

She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. Jack W. Jordan, her brother Stephen and her two pets Sophie and Roxy. You may make a donation to the charity of your choice in Connie's name in lieu of flowers.

A celebration of Connie's life will be held on Saturday, September 1 at 2:00pm at the Fleming Center at the Oklahoma Methodist Manor in Tulsa. All friends and family are invited to attend.
