Dale Richard Young II graced the world with a great first impression, feet first, on August 10, 1968 and passed from this life peacefully on August 15, 2024. Little Dale is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Hattie Young. His maternal grandparents, Lewis B. and Pauline Kennedy. Maternal uncle, Phillip Crawley I. And paternal uncle, Jimmy McCreary.

Dale is survived by his parents, Dale and Sharon Young of Idabel, OK. His daughters, Danielle Young and her partner, John Peters of Claremore, OK and Kennedy Young of Jenks, OK. The mother of his children, Scarlett Young of Jenks, OK. His sister, Lora Lee Moore, nephew, Sean-Michael Moore, and niece, Katy Moore of Idabel, OK. Maternal Aunt, Theo Crawley. Paternal aunt and uncle, Carmen McCreary and Ray Young and several cousins and extended family members.

"Too Cool" always had a smile on his face, a mischievous glimmer in his eye and a mad passion for anything sports or music related. He often recounted stories of his childhood, often including his best friend Pat McCracken and their adventures both in and around Idabel. These stories recounted tales of silly adventures and whatever wild fun they could find (or what trouble would find them…) and always led to laughter. He told stories about the glory days of his football and soccer careers, both of which he enjoyed with a passion. He also made sure to add stories from Idabel's Pop Time Singers and the Idabel High Marching Band which earned him the nickname of "Toot Toot". He spent a lot of his time in the water at Lake Eufaula where he enjoyed water skiing and knee boarding. He was also a lifeguard at Broken Bow lake throughout high school and college. He was an avid hunter and spent many days and nights camping and hunting for deer.

After graduation, Dale went to Oklahoma Baptist University. He then decided to transfer to East Central University in Ada, OK.  While at ECU, Dale pursued his love for music by joining the band "Silent Thunder" with his friend Kit and his wife Christina Wakley. We've been told about this time but there were no photos to be found of Dale in his rockstar days… we tried to find them! If you have any, please send them to us! It was at ECU where he met his wife Scarlett through a shared Greek Life event on campus. Dale was a proud Phi Kappa Tau and made many lifelong friends through his fraternity. First comes love and college fun, then comes marriage and a while later came a baby carriage, and a few years later, another.

Dale's favorite nickname of all was "Daddy." He was a girl dad through and through! He did, however, make sure his girls also had the same passion for sports and drive for knowledge that he had. Dale and Scarlett settled down in Okmulgee, Ok where the two of them made a life for themselves and their family. Over the next 25 years, they built a community of friends and family through OSU Okmulgee, First Baptist Church Okmulgee, and his Fantasy Football League just to name a few of their extra curricular activities.

Family and education were two of the most important things to Dale. Dale achieved not one, but two Master's Degrees and heavily considered furthering his education by pursuing a law degree. He was constantly trying to learn something new to better himself or his livelihood. His curiosity and sense of humor will be deeply missed as will his joyous and rambunctious laughter.
