Dinah Kay McMichael was born September 25, 1946 in Kansas City, Kansas and passed away peacefully surrounded by family at age 77 on January 20th, 2024.

Dinah's roots were in the Chanute, Kansas area, where she was raised amidst a large family that spanned across the states of Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. She shared her journey with many brothers, sisters, and half-brothers and sisters, all of whom contributed to the rich story of her life. Preceding her in death were her mother, Vivian Crossfield of Kansas, and her father, Herbert Shores of Missouri, as well as her brothers Chick Shores of Kansas and Ralph Shores of Missouri.

Dinah made her home in the Tulsa area, where she found a lifelong companion in Jack (Bill) McMichael III. Their union in 1975 marked the beginning of a beautiful 48-year journey together, and Dinah was the foundation for which their family was built on. Dinah embraced the role of mother with immense joy and took pride in nurturing her children.

Survived by her devoted husband, Bill McMichael of Tulsa, Dinah leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is fondly remembered by her son, Jack McMichael IV, and his wife Sara of Bixby, and her daughter, Amanda Wright, and her husband Destry of Tulsa; her grandchildren Rhylan, Addylan, and Savanah Wright of Tulsa, and Mae McMichael of Bixby. Dinah will be greatly missed by the multitude of friends and family members whose lives she touched with her warmth and laughter.

In celebrating Dinah's life, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and the indelible mark she leaves on our hearts. May her spirit find eternal peace. A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends.
