Donald (Don) Robert Cox of Wylie, Texas passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2021 . Don was preceded in death by his parents Robert Cox (February 2017) and Barbara Cox ( June of 2017 ) . He is survived by his sister and her husband , Lynne and Robert Duval , nephew , Taylor , and niece , Rebecca .

Don was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 8, 1964.  In 1972, their family moved to Richardson, Texas where he later graduated from Richardson High School in 1982. A fter graduating high school , Don began working at Albertson s in Plano , Texas t hen later at the 99 Cent S tore in 2008 . In 2010, Don decided to quit work to help take care of his parents with whom he lived. Don loved collecting antiques . He enjoyed spending time with the Deaf senior citizen groups with his parents. Don attended First Baptist Church of Dallas – Silent Friends Chapel as a child and into his teen years.  He enjoyed serving at the local food pantry preparing boxes of food for those in need. His favorite sports teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the OU Sooners.  He loved to watch police shows on TV and enjoyed figuring out the ending before it was over. Don will be remembered as a very friendly, positive person. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Don will be burie d at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma next to his parents. In stead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas on their website at eftx .org .
