Dorothy Louise Griffith passed from this life on February 8, 2022 at the age of 83.  She was born on March 8, 1938 in Ames, Iowa to Eugene and Dorothy (Cole) Griffith who preceded her in death.  Dorothy loved her family and her dogs, specifically cocker spaniels, of which she had many.  She also enjoyed all sports, especially Cubs baseball, the Dallas Wings WNBA team and anything having to do with the University of Tulsa.  Most of all, Dorothy loved teaching and children.  In her early years as an educator, she taught at Holy Family School then went on to spend the rest of her time teaching at Marquette.  Dorothy adored the students, parents, faculty and Pastors there.  Preparing children for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion were special joys to her.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Katharine Griffith.  Dorothy is survived by her sister, Margaret Anne "Peggy" Griffith, and numerous friends and colleagues.
