Edna Ruth Gray passed away peacefully at her home in the memory care facility at Autumn Leaves Memory Care Center in Tulsa Sunday, April 29, 2018 at age 91. Edna Ruth was born in Hugoton, KS on September 24, 1926 to Roy and Mabel Wilson. After graduation from the Elk City, KS High School, she studied Nursing in Independence KS, culminating with her achievement of Registered Nurse at St John's Hospital, Tulsa OK. Shortly thereafter, she met the love of her life, Fred L. Gray, and they made their home in Tulsa. Edna Ruth worked as the nurse for First National Bank of Tulsa for many years before moving back to St John's, where she worked the Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU), and ultimately retired. Even after retirement, she was continually volunteering to help out at the hospital, such was her caring heart. Her granddaughter Kelly Gray loved her and posted this about her: ' She was that crazy feisty redhead who gave me my sense of humor- for sure. And now she's gone. She was a nurse and after she stopped actively nursing, she taught other nurses. She drove way too fast and had to give up her license at the end and I kept telling her I was going to take her out & let her drive. But I didn't. She was so funny and always made us all laugh all the time.' Edna Ruth's family includes her brother James Wilson of Grand Junction, CO; her sons, Rex (Carol) of Yorktown VA, and Rick Gray of Tulsa OK; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins too numerous to name.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mabel Wilson, brothers John, Thomas, Louis, Curtis, and Carl; sisters MaryAnn Brownlee and Lois Bowers.
