Beth Dunkin, 82, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at her apartment in Trinity Woods in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Oklahoma City on February 21, 1943, Beth was the daughter of Bernard and Edna LeCompte Kennedy. She graduated from Casady High School in Oklahoma City.  She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma, later completing a master's degree in Speech Pathology and then on to earn her master's in theology.

On May 23, 1969, she married the love of her life, John Randolph Dunkin. Together they raised four daughters: Christine Dunkin Rawlings, Catherine LeCompte Dunkin, Carolyn Dunkin Baker, and Courtney Dunkin Bono.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Beth is survived by her daughters Christy Rawlings, Carolyn Baker, and Courtney Bono; sons-in-law Chris Rawlings, Brett Baker, and Mark Bono; and her beloved grandchildren Megan Elisabeth Pense Eldrige, John Clayton Pense, Jake Dunkin Rawlings, Peyton Elisabeth Bono, Garrett Dunkin Bono, Kennedy Grace Baker, and Gentry Abigayle Baker. She also leaves behind her great-grandson, Theodore Christopher Eldrige.

She is reunited in heaven with her husband John Dunkin, her daughter Cathy Dunkin, her parents, and her 3 siblings.

Beth dedicated over 40 years of her life to teaching the Bible, touching thousands of lives and helping to deepen their faith in God. She had a rare and profound gift for making scripture relatable and meaningful to people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

Her legacy of service and leadership also included active involvement in Pi Beta Phi sorority, the Junior League of Tulsa, The Little Light House and St. John's Episcopal Church, where she was a devoted member.

A celebration of Elisabeth's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, at St. John's Episcopal Church 4200 South Atlanta Place in Tulsa.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. John's Episcopal Church in her memory.
