Eric was born March 2nd, 1979, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of Dan and Teri Bass.  At the age of 42, he passed away peacefully at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 28th, 2021 surrounded by his wife, Mandi, and loved ones.

Eric married the love of his life, Mandi Smith, on May 25, 2014.  They bought a house together in Tulsa, and gave birth to Mazie on February 28, 2015, joining Eric's two older daughters, Eden (18) and Kennedy (14).

Eric was diagnosed on April 18, 2020 with Stage 4 Glioblastoma (brain cancer).  After being given only 4 weeks to live, he made decisions to have multiple brain surgeries, and undergo chemotherapy, radiation and holistic medical treatments.  These choices would give him more time with loved ones.  He made the most of the rest of his time, going camping and taking trips to Florida, Branson, Chicago, and Arkansas, making priceless memories at each destination.

Eric was employed as a Fire Alarm Specialist and lived his passion as a musician in Tulsa.  The joy of listening to his favorite artists, as well as writing and performing his own music, started at a young age and lasted his entire life.  Eric first picked up a bass guitar as a teenager, and performed with many bands throughout his teen and adult years. He also had a passion for sports, Chicago teams across the board. Eric will be remembered by those close to him for his confidence, calming demeanor, dry sense of humor, and the compassion he shared with his family and friends.

Eric was preceded in death by his father, Dan, and his brother, Tony.  He is survived by his mother, Teri, his devoted wife, Mandi, his three daughters, Eden, Kennedy and Mazie, and many other family and friends.

Celebration of Life for Eric will be on Friday, December 10, 2021, 1:00pm, at Christ United Methodist, 3515 S. Harvard, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
