Ethel Pool, a mother and devoted Christian, died peacefully of natural causes on November 10, 2020 at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 88 years old.

Ethel Ollie Gene (Hug) Pool was born March 21, 1932 in McLean, Texas and was the youngest of eleven children. She played basketball, graduated from McLean High School, and married her husband Jimmie Pool. Together they had a son named Darrell. Ethel and Jimmie lived in Texas for several years before moving to Kansas and then Oklahoma. Ethel served as a certified nutritionist for various hospitals before her retirement.

Ethel will always be remembered as a selfless, devoted Christian. She took people into her own home, feeding them and providing for them as if they were her own family. She attended church regularly and volunteered in nurseries and soup kitchens.

Her cooking always brought a smile to her family. Ethel's heart and soul radiated from her dishes and always made sure everyone got more than what they asked for. Ethel's family will miss her dearly and will always have a place for her in their hearts and prayers.

Ethel Pool is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Pool; mother, father, and her ten siblings.

She is survived by her son, Darrell Pool; her three grandchildren, Kalisha Nolen, Carmon Drummond, and Lindsay Bash (Jason Bash); and her five great grandchildren, Sheridan Nolen, Halle Nolen, Braxton Drummond, Preston Drummond, and Peyton Drummond.
