Eugene Eldee Starr, loving husband and father of four passed away on January 18, 2023 in Tulsa, OK.  Born on April 30, 1926, in McAlester, OK he was the son of Caroline and Joel Bryan Mayes Starr of Tahlequah, OK.  He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Kinkade Starr and siblings, Bobbie Stauss, Margaret Reed, Lucy Henry, Jack Starr and Jim Starr.  During WWII, he served in the Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Matanikau and deployed throughout the Pacific.  He returned to graduate from the University of Oklahoma School of Architecture.  He was the architect to some of Tulsa's most distinguished residences, schools and churches, as well as the Tulsa Tennis Club where he served as a past President.  He is survived by his daughter Susan Starr of New York City, and sons John Starr of Houston, TX, Joel Starr of Washington, DC, and Jason Starr of Tulsa, OK, and two granddaughters.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in his wife's memory to the Tulsa Public Library c/o Tulsa Library Trust, 400 Civic Center, Tulsa, OK 74103.

A private graveside service will be held at the Tahlequah City Cemetery.
