Frederick
White
Sep 14, 1948 — Apr 14, 2023
Fred passed away peacefully at home, April 14, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Fred was born September 14, 1948 in Hackensack, New Jersey to Fred and Lillian White. He grew up loving to tinker with electronics in his free time. As a teen he was an avid surfer. Fred earned a scholarship to attend Passaic School of Drafting and Design after High School, earning the highest score ever on their entrance scholarship exam. He continued from there to a career in aerospace and pipeline tooling design.
Fred enjoyed many hobbies. He loved mineralogy, and spent his free time collecting crystal specimens at Snake Hill and various other sites in New Jersey with his mentor Bundy.
Fred married his wife Judy in 1976. They were members of Tulsa International Folk Dancers, and stayed in shape learning dances from around the world. Fred was also an honorary member of the Tulsa Rock and Mineral Society where he served in many capacities for over 50 years, and displayed his mineral collection in competition.
Fred is survived by his wife Judy, one sister Lillian, daughter Jendra, grandchildren Ziah, Aurora, James, and Emberly, and many other nieces, nephews and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Lillian, and two sisters Betty and Doris.
