Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Gary Lee Yeck , passed away on July 8, 2021, with his family at his bedside. Gary was born in Yukon, Oklahoma on August 28, 1944 , to Margaret L. (Barrett) and George M. Yeck . He attended and graduated from Edison High School in 1962 , and received a Bachelor's of Arts from University of Tulsa in 196 7 . At TU he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. Because of Gary's lively personality and infectious laugh and smile, he developed long lasting friendships from school and wherever he went.
While at the University of Tulsa, Gary met Joan ( Birbilis ). The couple wed on June 10, 1967, at Sharp Chapel located on the University of Tulsa campus . They were married for 54 years and enjoyed TU events, spending time with friends and family and going on fun trips and adventures. They were blessed with one daughter, Audrey Lee ( Reid Duffy) Yeck .
Gary had a lifelong career as a stockbroker and financial advisor culminating his career at Council Oak Wealth Advisors.
Gary was a sports fanatic loving University of Tulsa basketball and football as well as Oklahoma University football and Cardinals and Cubs baseball. Some of his passions were photography, sailing, sports cars and scotch.
Gary is survived by his wife Joan , daughter Audrey (Reid), brother Randy (Beth) as well as nieces and nephews : Tom (Ava) Matthew s, Katie Matthews, Scott (Kara) Spangler, and Alison (Danny) Regan as well as his favorite pets Tank, Cosette, and Fela.

A memorial will be held at Stanley's Fun eral Home , 3959 E. 31 st Street Tulsa, OK, 74135, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 , at 3:00 p.m. following with a C elebration of L ife at Oaks Country Club at 4:00, 6500 S. 49 th West Avenue, Tulsa, O K . 7413 1 .
