Obituary

Glenna H Clark was born in Mena, Arkansas on May 28, 1932. Her parents were, Hustle and Ruth (Armstrong) Hilton. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of December 4, 2020.

She had five brothers, 4 of whom preceded her in death, William Dale Hilton of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Robert Eugene Hilton of Corpus Christi, Texas, Ray Eldon Hilton of Kiefer, Oklahoma, and Kenneth Wayne Hilton of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma.

She is survived by one brother, B F Hilton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 step daughters, Gina Clark currently of Tucson, Arizona, Karen Clark of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Melanie Lawson of Grove, Oklahoma; 2 cousins who reside in Joplin, Missouri and numerous nephews and nieces along with their families. All were dearly loved.

She began her career as a legal secretary soon after graduating from high school in Mena. After moving to Tulsa in 1953 she continued that career for 57 years with the law firm of Rogers and Bell. During this same time, she taught classes for aspiring legal secretaries at Tulsa Junior College and served as an officer in the Tulsa County Association of Legal Secretaries for a lengthy period of time.

She enjoyed square dancing where she met her husband to be, James T Clark, who later established the James T Clark Company which specialized in structural engineering and crafting of staircases and banner railings. Her husband preceded her in death on April 18, 2000.

Jim and Glenna enjoyed being outdoors and travelling She provided care for her mother and youngest brother for many years while carrying on with her career. She enjoyed hosting family dinners. Everyone would remember the fudge and divinity as well as turkey and ham she lovingly prepared.

She greatly enjoyed travelling and took several cruises and tours with friends and Jim to various parts of the world including Alaska, Great Britain, Australia, South America, and the European continent.

Visitation is set for 5-7 pm on December 9 at Stanley's funeral home on 31st Street. The memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday December 10 at Stanley's followed by interment at Memorial Park cemetery.
