Obituary

Born May 11, 1956 To Margaret Nelda And Lloyd Alan Glidden, he was the greatest surprise ever, as they had been told they could not have children and after adopting a daughter, and having her in their life for 4 years, Greg was born on Mother's Day. He spent his younger years in the part of Tulsa he loved, living off of Madison and 27th Street, they moved to the home where he attended Nimitz Middle School and Later graduated from Memorial High School, while still a Senior he met and fell in Love with The love of his Life, Gloria Dawn Zickefoose, they began their marriage and sharing life together in August of 1975, in a private ceremony with only one friend and the Officiant and his wife. At the age of 24 he was a father of 3, Christopher, Rachel, and David Glidden.

He was a devoted, fun, young Father that found gainful employment at what would be his lifelong employer, Frisco, later becoming BNSF railroad. Where he would remain through all of his family's challenges until retiring several months after losing his beloved wife. During all the years of working 3rd shift, he maintained multiple houses, several business ventures, the loss of his Father, the 16 year long care of his Mother, with help from Gloria, and still had time to fly kites and go on bike rides, later teaching each of us kids how to drive, and forcing us to understand the value of a dollar and the pride and sense of accomplishment of a hard days work. He continued working even when Gloria battled cancer in multiple attacks, and cared for her and comforted her until her final breath. All this while fighting his own health issues and 2 massive heart attacks 18 years apart. To say he was just a man is to do him injustice, he was our Dad, A Good Husband, and a lifelong Christian.

He was quiet, witty, extremely intelligent, and not afraid of work. He was a lover of Animals, Family and Music. The last 4 years while battling loneliness, he pushed himself everyday to keep going for his kids, Grandkids and Great Grandson, Mom's Beloved Dogs, and Close family and friends. He went to be with The Lord and his True Love on January 27, 2024, and was preceded in death by His Mother and Father, Grandson Bryce Matthew Louvier, Wife, Gloria, and Brother in Law Rick Zickefoose,Brother in law Darrell Schoolfield, Beloved Niece, Jennifer Schoolfield, and Nephew Rowdy Zickefoose.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Jon Glidden, Rachel Janette Glidden Louvier and husband Jason, David Alan Glidden and Wife, Rachael, Former Daughter in Law, Rachael Leigh Glidden, Grand Children, Christian Lloyd Glidden, and Josie, Allison Paige Glidden Shouse and Husband Matthew, Lucien Greg Louvier, Shanna Marie Glidden, Vance Justin Louvier and Great Grandson Theo Christopher Glidden, Sister in Law Cheryl Denise Zickefoose Schoolfield, Brother in Law, Charles M.
