Obituary

"Oh Harry, What a life you have led!  You were born here in Tulsa into an ice cream heritage. With Burt's Ice Cream, and a father who invented the original ice cream on a stick, Good Humor, you were the happy salesman!  You were always a great patriot, first in the Navy, but then in the Air Force retiring as a Lt. Colonel.  As a Lamda Chi at the University of Tulsa you studied business however your heart was focused on a beautiful Kappa Kappa Gamma, Carthell. You married on a weekend pass the day after your birthday and spent over 60 loving years together.  As a fun, supportive father to two lucky children, Harry (Burnie) and Archie, you made sure they wanted for nothing and knew how much you loved them. You became the first commercial realtor for McGraw which spanned 30 years.  After retirement you and Carthell spent your days volunteering, as you chauffeured anyone who needed a ride to their destination, many times with your standard poodles but always with a generous happy attitude. You spent all your years a devoted husband, father and Episcopalian, many years teaching Sunday school or working in the book store after church.

You will be missed by your children, and all friends who knew you.  We are happy that you have gone to live eternally with your Love Carthell.
