Hugh Morris, 84, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on December 3 rd , 2019.

A memorial service will be held at Stanley Funeral home located at 3959 E 31st St, Tulsa and followed by a come and go reception at the home of Doug and Melissa Halve located at 3152 S Gary Place immediately following the memorial.

Hugh was born in Edmond, Oklahoma on May 24th, 1935. He graduated from Midwest City high school as an all-state quarterback and continued his education at Northeastern A&M where he continued his successful football career leading the Norsemen to the Junior Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA in 1953. He served in the Army from 1956-1960.  After the service, he graduated from Central State College in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science degree, playing football the entire time.

Hugh married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Walker on July 12th, 1957; they were married 63 years. They loved taking trips to the beach and spending time together watching their favorite shows.

Hugh worked as a prominent executive in sales for the Coca Cola Company and a restaurant franchise until he retired in 2001. Hugh enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time with family and friends. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Hugh is survived by his wife, Barbara; Brother, Donald Mac Morris; Daughters, Kerri Buerker and husband Mark, Vicki Vrooman, Melissa and husband Doug Halve, and son, Richard and wife Sarah.  He had 9 grandchildren: Michael Buerker, Max Buerker, Weston Vrooman, Katie Morris, Benjamin Morris, Valerie Morris, Christopher Morris, Connor Halve, and Claire Halve; 4 great grandchildren: Anna Buerker, Dean Gerrior, Eloise Buerker and Lila Buerker.

The family of Hugh Morris wishes to thank everyone for their love and support throughout this difficult time.
