Ivan Ray
Crossley, Jr.
Aug 29, 1946 — Feb 25, 2022
Tulsa
IVAN 'RAY' CROSSLEY, JR. (SPARKY) departed peacefully
on February 25, 2022 at the Veterans Center in Claremore at
the age of 75. He leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Marilyn,
daughters Nanci Pittinger, Angie Rivera (Randy), Amanda
Bennett, step-daughter Monica Richards, sister Pam Tudor, an
aunt, Ila Bresette (Bob) in addition to 8 grandchildren , 9 great
grandchildren, a Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, etc., and
his last (and most favorite) riding buddy, Barry Simon.
Ivan was a Veteran of Vietnam serving in the Navy from
1965-67. He was a Yeoman's Mate aboard the aircraft carriers
USS Enterprise and USS Ticonderoga and was attached to the
attack squadron VA 56. Ivan also performed "TAD" (temporary
assigned duties) and literally worked in many areas on both
ships, wherever he was needed. He was proud to have served
his country and he was a long-time member of the American
Legion Post 1, the oldest 'operating post' in the United States!
Ivan worked as a sales rep for United Graphics (Unigraph)
for many years, and after that if he wasn't cooking
competition chili for some non-profit you could spot him out on
his most favorite toy, his Harley. He absolutely loved to ride
and would most always be on two-wheels (when everyone else
thought it was too cold or too wet) until he was forced to park
the bike due to his health. Some of his favorite haunts were the
American Legion Club Room , the University of Wash and
The Town Pump.
Ivan was preceded in death by his brother Harold Dean (Buddy)
Crossley, father Ivan Ray (Buster) Crossley, Sr., brother Terry
Tudor, mother Opal 'Irene' Tudor and his best friend in the
whole world, Mike (Moose/Magic) Siebert.
