Obituary

Jim Huffaker, 94, died at home in Tulsa on November 27, 2018. Born in Ada, OK, Jim is predeceased by his wife, Wanda (Adams) Huffaker, his parents, Irvin and Jennie May (Hannon) Huffaker of Wilson, OK, and hisgranddaughter Melody Suvak.

During World War II, Jim was a Second Lieutenant in the Army Air Forces, where he served as a Bombardier/Navigator in the 552 nd Bomb Squadron of the 386 th Bomb Group in the 9 th Air Force.  He flew 27 missions in the European theater in 1944 through the war's end.

Jim was a graduate of Oklahoma City University.  He worked in the insurance industry and lived in Tulsa for over 62 years. Jim was a longtime member of the 29 th & Yale Church of Christ.   He was an ardent fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. He also loved playing golf with his sons and his friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia (Gary Ramsey) Huffaker, Tulsa, and Linda (Victor) Huddleston, Berryville AR, and two sons, David Huffaker, Tulsa, and Gary (Sharon Williams) Huffaker, Dunedin, FL.  Jim is also survived by four grandchildren: Miranda Suvak, Samantha Suvak, Tulsa, Alison Huffaker, St. Petersburg, FL and Adam Huffaker, Dunedin, FL.
