On Monday, October 3, 2022, James Michael Edens, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 71. James was born on February 24, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Crede and Carla Jean Edens. He worked as a machinist for 20 years then drove a bus for special needs children and loved it so he became a trainer until his retirement. On September 11, 1970, he married Pamela Mae Bailey. They raised a son, Christian, and a daughter, Jamie.

James had many interests that included motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and baseball but none of that compared to his love of the kids he drove on his bus and his grandsons. He always said if he had known how much he would love working with special needs children he would have gone to school and done that from the beginning. Above all, his grandsons lit up his world. A visit from one of the boys would change his day in minutes and make everything better.

James was preceded in death by his father, Crede, and his mother, Carla Jean. He is survived by his wife Pamela, his two children, Christian and Jamie, five brothers and sisters, Crede Jr., Mark, Timothy, Jennifer, and Lorelei, five grandsons, Sky, Benjamin, Merik, Drake, and Nolan, one great grandson, Dominic, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
