Janet Sue Cobb (Trokey) of Tulsa, Oklahoma left this earthly life early in the morning on November 26th, 2021. She spent her last day surrounded by family and friends, ate a fantastic meal cooked with love, and shook several rounds of belly aching laughter while playing games. Janet was born on July 26th, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri to Daniel and Sue Trokey (Rode). Janet was baptized in the Catholic Church, attended St. Agatha Catholic grade school where she met the boy who would eventually be the love of her life, Charlie. Janet graduated from St. Francis DeSales Catholic High School in 1965. Shortly after reconnecting with Charlie Cobb at a grade school picnic, she and Charles married on a snowy February day in 1969. Snowballs were thrown at the newly weds instead of the traditional rice. Janet began her career working for a paint store just after high school but excelled while working in the Carpet Department of Famous-Barr where she managed all of the orders and the office. In 1972, Charlie and Janet were blessed with a bouncing baby boy they named Kevin. Once Kevin was born, Janet became the family chauffer and their son never missed a school play, soccer practice, or baseball game since Mom could always be relied on to deliver him on time wherever he needed to be. Janet also had an uncanny talent for all things mechanical. When the family bought one of the first VCRs in the neighborhood, Janet was the whiz who could program the machine to record a favorite show. Janet also loved to shop and could spend hours wandering store fronts and aisles with her mother Sue, window shopping a Saturday away. She particularly loved collecting Christmas ornaments from her travels and Native American artifacts and memorabilia wherever she could. She once purchased an authentic bow and arrow at the beginning of a six-week vacation traveling across the country with their lifelong friends Rich and Flo, and she insisted Rich carefully unpack and repack that treasure every day until they returned home. Anyone would be hard pressed to meet a woman who as fun loving and easy-going as Janet. She loved to play cards and dominos. She spent countless hours playing Hearts, Spades, Canasta, Pinochle, Poker, and dominos with family and friends, and more often than not, she won. Janet was beloved by her family and her sweet spirit touched the lives of so many fortunate souls. She will be forever missed. Janet is survived by her loving husband of fifty-two years Charles Cobb, her son Kevin Cobb and daughter-in-law Sarah Alfred of Tulsa, OK, her brother Daniel Trokey, his wife Sue Trokey, their son (her nephew) Michael (Mike) Trokey and his son (her great nephew) Michael Trokey of St. Louis, Missouri. The joy of her heart was her two grandchildren, Mallory Cobb and Holden Cobb also of Tulsa, OK.
