Janie Livingston, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 3rd, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and cherished memories.

Born to Oris and Andree Porter, Janie grew up with her younger sister, Nanci Powers, in a family filled with warmth and love.

Janie attended Edison Prep High School, where her journey of lifelong friendships and accomplishments began. She furthered her education at Northeastern State University, where she met her future husband, Ed Orr. Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed two sons, Douglas Edward and Derek Michael. In September of 2002, Janie faced the heart-wrenching loss of Ed Orr. In 2003 she met Phil Livingston, whom she married in 2004, calling him the "love of her life".  After marrying Phill, he brought into her life a stepdaughter, Theresa Ellis, enriching her life with her nurturing presence. Together, Janie and Phil created a tapestry of beautiful memories, enjoying their lakehouse on Grand Lake and exploring the world. Paris, the City of Lights, held a special place in Janie's heart, a homage to her mother's heritage. Her visits to Paris were a celebration of her roots and a reflection of her adventurous soul.

A lifelong dog lover, Janie cherished her canine companions, starting with her childhood dog, Scamp, followed by Tippy, Kalli, Aussie Dog, and Chloe. While married to Phil Livingston, Janie welcomed her most precious pet, a Cairn Terrier named Lucy, who accompanied her and Phil everywhere.

After Phil's passing in 2018, Janie found companionship in her dear friend Ed Nonweiler. With Ed, Janie continued to travel the world, creating new memories and adventures that added vibrancy to her life in her later years. Upon Lucy's passing in 2018, Ed and Janie welcomed Jolie, an Aussie Doodle puppy who brought immense joy and comfort at a time when Janie needed it most.

Janie is preceded in death by her father, Oris Porter; mother, Andree Porter; first husband, Ed Orr; and second husband, Phil Livingston. Janie is survived by her oldest son, Douglas Orr, along with his wife, Hayley; youngest son, Derek Orr, along with his wife, Elora; stepdaughter Theresa Ellis, along with her husband, Dustin; and sister Nanci Powers along with her husband Buz. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Olivia and her husband, Caleb, Chase, Hayden, Abbey, Danner, Pepper, Kallen, and Beckham.

Janie Livingston's life was a beautiful symphony of joy, resilience, and love, and she leaves behind a family that will continue to celebrate her memory and the incredible life she led.
