Jerry Owen Carroll, 81, of Tulsa was escorted by his angels to Heaven on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Jerry was the youngest of 6 children born to George Duke Carroll and Vera May (Karnes) Carroll. He was born in Graham, Texas on October 12, 1940. His family moved to Lindsay, Oklahoma in 1953 when his father was transferred with Phillips 66. Jerry graduated from Lindsay High School in 1959. He graduated from Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma in 1963 and worked in the heating and air conditioning industry for many years in the Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Jerry met Zelda (Hinote) Carroll in 1965, dated for 2 years, and married on October 14,1967. On May 31, 1972, they were blessed with a son, Jerry Clayton Carroll (JC), who brought such joy and blessings each day. Their family grew on May 24, 1997, when their daughter-in-love, Gina (Ames) Carroll joined the family. An additional blessing arrived on May 6, 2005, with the arrival of a grandson, Bryce Clayton Carroll.  Jerry was preceded in death by his father, George Duke Carroll, and Mother, Vera May (Karnes) Carroll; Brother, John Carroll and wife, Johnnie Carroll; Brother, Bill Carroll; Sister, Joyce (Carroll) Wright; Brother, Paul Alien Carroll; Nephew, Bobby Carroll; Nephew, John Wright; Brother-in-Law, Dennis Hinote and wife, Holly Hinote.  Jerry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Zelda (Hinote) Carroll; Son, JC and wife, Gina Carroll; Grandson, Bryce Carroll; Brother-in-Law, Lyle Wilson, wife Lori and son Logan; Sister, Peggy Davis and family; Sister-in-Law, Dee Carroll; Niece, Millie Eubanks and daughter Gracie; Nephew, Ron Carroll, wife Gail and children Avery and Will; Nephew, Ricky Carroll, and daughter Ivy; Nephew, James Wright, wife Debbie and daughter Ashley; Niece, Suzanne Woodruff, husband Jack and sons David and Nick; Niece, Teresa Langley, daughter Lauren and husband Charlie and son Rowen; Niece, Jill West and husband Pete, son Mason, daughter Lexie and husband Dakota and daughters Marlee Kae and Holly Jo. And a host of many wonderful family and friends who will miss his ever-present smile and humor.
