John Marsh Goff, 66 died Tuesday, December 3, 2025 in Tulsa, OK. The son of John and Susan Goff, he grew up in Shreveport, LA graduating from Captain Shreve High School.  John and his wife Sue met at the University of Oklahoma where he joined Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.  He graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

John moved to Tulsa, OK and started his career with Peat Marwick & Mitchell CPA firm.  Later he would be employed by Bank of Oklahoma and Bank IV.  At these companies he would transition into working with retirement and wealth management plans.  In February 1996, John became employed by INTRUST Bank and would achieve the future title of Director of Retirement in Wealth and Retirement Business for Tulsa, OK.  Along the way he added many clients to their business.  However, most important to him was building relationships with his clients and ensuring they and their employees had top notch retirement plans tailored to their needs.  John would continue to work for INTRUST Bank for nearly 30 years.  He was also a member of the AICPA and OSCPA.

John and Sue raised two wonderful children, David and Kathryn.  John loved working with scout troops, taking friends on ski trips to the lake, cheering on their athletic teams, watching them perform in their school bands all while being the best dad his children could possibly ask for.

John was a hard worker and he loved music.  But most of all he was a man of great faith.  He taught an adult bible study with several friends for many years, was active in Koinonia bible study for over 40 years with dear friends and served as a Deacon and Elder.  Most recently he was an active member at Kirk Crossing where he oversaw communion, was a member of a pastoral search committee and enjoyed participating in the men's fellowship group.

John loved "going on an adventure" with family whether it was to the Rockies in Colorado and Canada or to the Tetons in Wyoming or to the Smokies and North Carolina.  He also enjoyed exploring history while taking trips to places like Boston, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

John filled our lives and the lives of others with abundant joy and happiness.  Only God knows the countless lives he touched.

John is survived by his wife, Sue of 41 years; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Eden Goff; his daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Craig Floyd; his grandchildren, Matthias and Melody Goff; his sister Jennifer Ducote, his brother-in-law and wife, Mark and Pam Saylor and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service to celebrate and give thanks for the life of John M. Goff, Jr will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday December 11, 2025 at Kirk Crossing 11420 S James Ave, Jenks, OK 74037.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Kirk Crossing; Iron Gate 501 W Archer St. Tulsa, OK 74103; or to a charity of your choice.
