Judith Ann McKee, 84 years young, passed away on January 24th, 2023. She went from the adoring arms of her family to the everlasting arms of God. She lived an amazing life full of deep faith, love for family, joy in friendships, and complete grace. Judy will be remembered for her selflessness, smile, friendly and compassionate conversations, as a caring friend to many, and the gift of always giving generously.

Judy was born on November 5th, 1938, to Andrew and Emily Barchfeld in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of two children. She loved to create excitement wherever she was. Judy attended Lorain High School, in Lorain, Ohio, where she excelled in class. She met the love of her life, Ernest H. McKee at the young age of 14. Judy attended Kent State University and received her Bachelor of Education. She cherished being a part of the Delta Gamma sorority, gaining lifelong friends. Judy married her sweetheart of 8 years on June 24th, 1961. Judy became a 3rd grade teacher where she excelled in pouring her love for knowledge into her students. Although she only taught a few years, her students remained in her heart always. After starting their family with the birth of first-born Michael Andrew, Judy became the President and CEO of the McKee household, a job perfectly fitted for her. Mary Kate, Matthew Ernest, and Emily Lynn completed the family of six.

Many have viewed Judy as stoic regarding the health and care that was needed to raise Mary Kate, born with multiple physical challenges. In fact, Judy clung to her faith and to the wisdom of God's word that states, "He will not give you more than you can handle." When doctors spoke, when ministers prayed, when nurses helped, Judy always looked to what she could do for Mary Kate. She created the best life for all her children and eventually her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was to spend time and love on each family member. She was the cornerstone of her family, the nurturer, the selfless giver, the friend, the comforter, and the biggest cheerleader to all.

Traveling and creating memories were a strong focus in Judy's life. Nantucket Island was her favorite spot to enjoy beach life, family games, shopping, and fine dining. She captured every moment with her camera and filled an abundance of photo albums for all to remember. She was an avid and talented artist painting china, creating pottery, painting with oil, and, finally, finding her true love in painting with acrylics. Many of her amazing creations adorn the walls of friends and family members. She enjoyed her later years in the Montereau community where she met new friends, rekindled old friendships, and buzzed around in her scooter.

Through all of Judy's accomplishments, activities, and responsibilities, her family always came first. Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ernie, her children Mike (Janice), Matt (Samantha), and Emily (Kevin) all of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Ernie (Taylor), Mark, Warren, Banks, Luke, John, Mary, and Caroline, and finally her first great grandchild, George. Judy is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Emily Barchfeld, her daughter, Mary Kate, her brother, Andrew Barchfeld (Ruth), and her niece Joy Northeim.
