Keith Raymond Skrzypczak was born on January 19, 1955, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Raymond and Jessie Skrzypczak. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and stroke in January and peacefully left this life on February 11, 2023. He is survived by his beloved children Matthew, Elizabeth and John; his wife of 30 years, Julie Skrzypczak; his mother, Jessie Skrzypczak; his sisters Monica Skrzypczak, Kathy David and husband Darin; and nieces Kateri David and Therese David.

He attended Holy Family School and Cascia Hall. He loved all things baseball and hockey, playing both throughout his childhood. He played hockey at Niagara University for a brief time before returning to Tulsa and graduating from the University of Tulsa.

He was passionate about music of all kinds instilling in his children a deep love for all genres of music and a love of concert going. He attended more live concerts, symphonies, and philharmonic performances than one could count, in venues from Cain's Ballroom to the Gorge.

He was a gifted writer and spent his adult life sharing that gift, first at the Tulsa Tribune , then as a copywriter and creative director at various local ad agencies, freelancing, and finally as the Editor & Publisher of Urban Tulsa .

For the last 26 years of his life, his pride and joy was found in his children. He loved Matthew, Bebe and John Paul with every fiber of his being. He shared with them his love of literature, politics, travel, music, and his Catholic faith. They in turn reflect their dad by being unique, authentic, passionate young people.
