In Loving Memory of: Larry Lee Brooks, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, sibling, son, grandson and friend, even to a stranger.

Born May 6th, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas and died in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 10th, 2025, around 6:15am.

Larry passed with grace and courage surrounded by his wife Connie, daughter LeAnn, granddaughter Victoria and son-in-law Hector where they have all lived together.

His loving wife: Married 48 years to Connie Sue Brooks since 7/8/1977. (They would joke about how they wanted it to be married on 7/7/1977 so all the numbers would be 7's)

Children: daughter Connie "LeAnn" Brooks and son-in-law Hector Saldierna, daughter Rhonda Jane Nikel, daughter Trina Valonne Biles and son-in-law Joe Biles.

Grandchildren: Victoria Abad, Bo Judd, Rebecca McClain, Kylie Saldierna, Nancy Ramirez, Brittney Fields & Ashley Pierson.

Great-grandchildren: Lexi McClain, Theo Brooks McClain, Niko McClain, Stryker Flick, Timberlynn Judd, Anthony Allen, Joaquin Ramirez, Andrew Pratt, Winston Pratt, Mathew Fields, Maddison Bronson, and Eugene Pierson.

Nieces: Sharon Adams and Gail Cassidy and many great nieces and nephews.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother Velda Cain Brooks, father Delmar Brooks, sister Patt Innes, brothers Gerald "Jerry" Brooks and Tommy Brooks. Grandparents Ivy and Tom Cain. Son-in-law Jimmy Jacobson. Nephew Doug Ballard and nephew-in-law Kevin Adams.

Larry lived in California up until his mother died in a car wreck when he was 4. His father could not raise the three children on his own, so Larry and his siblings were raised part-time by his grandparents. He would ride a train to and from San Francisco to Wichita, Kansas to stay with his grandparents in Wichita. Throughout Larry's whole lifetime of places lived he said living at the Cains' house in Wichita, working on their farm was his favorite. In California, Larry lived with his dad and stepmom in a Victorian house close to Alameda High School where he graduated. He worked with concrete making basements for his uncle Don's business in Wichita before moving.

Larry moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma because he wanted to be close to his sister Patt and her children. There he met his wife Connie on a blind date set up by her niece Sonja. They enjoyed taking trips to Noel Missouri, taking rides in their little red Fiat Spider, camping at the lake, and being around their children & grandchildren. Larry worked with A Best Roofing for 16 years, retiring at 71. He was a hard worker and loved to provide for his three daughters, wife, and any family he could lend a helping hand to. He was a stickler for the rules, telling his children and grandchildren to be good every time they left the house. He was a marvelous jokester and loved to talk for hours on end.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, stock car races, farm animals (his last 2 dogs, Sassy and Jocie, were his best friends), watching AFV and WWE on the TV, family BBQs, traveling, driving to look at Christmas lights, car shows, collecting any cool gadgets, the Tulsa State Fair, yard-work, flea markets, stops at Braum's, people watching, and spending time with his family laughing and giving them trouble. He never met a stranger.

Even in Larry's old age, he stayed sharp as a wit. Telling a number of stories in precise detail, reminding us of things, and always down for a ride or adventure out of the house. He sure knew how to get a laugh out of someone. His stories, jokes, love, and memories created with him will be missed dearly and remain with us forever.
