Laurie McLauren Crowder, age 78, passed away at home in Tulsa on February 28, 2026.

Laurie was born on June 3, 1947, in Tulsa, to Jimmie Cook and Daisy Lockowitz Cook. She graduated from Edison High School in 1965 and from Oklahoma State University in 1969, with a degree in Home Economics. She did not pursue her field of study, instead spent her entire work life in the Oil & Gas industry. She liked to joke that she worked in the same building at 15th & Boulder for 24 years, generally on the same floor, for three different employers: Skelly Oil & Gas Co, Getty Oil Company; and Texaco Oil Company. Laurie was well liked by her colleagues and enjoyed success in her many different roles during those 24   years.

Laurie is survived by her husband, Rob; brother Peyton (Pete); Rob's three kids; eleven step grandkids; four step great grandkids; two beloved dogs; and a feisty cat.

Laurie requested that any donations in her memory be made to the donor's favorite animal rescue organization.
