Obituary

Linda Chambers Evans passed away on April 3rd after a short and unexpected illness. During her 77 years she experienced a lot of amazing things - seeing Elvis in concert in '56, viewing JFK's funeral procession in DC, raising her son, getting her first passport and visiting Hong Kong at the age of 63 and living across two different millenniums. Linda was born and raised in Tulsa and lived for many years in Broken Arrow. Linda graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1958.

She was preceded by her parents Jack and Meda Hudson and two husbands, Joe Chambers and George Evans. Linda retired after 20-some years working for Norris Sucker Rods where she made many lifelong friends. Linda is survived by her only child, Michael Chambers and her brother John Hudson along with cousins and relatives scattered across Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona and Arkansas.

For those who knew her, this list of top 10 things that she loved will hopefully bring a smile and a warm memory.... her family and friends, Tom Selleck (in anything), the puppy bowl, butter pecan ice cream, reading, OU football, the Pittsburgh Steelers (no small feat in Cowboy country), auto racing, a good coney and rewatching American Sniper.

Linda spread joy and happiness to everyone who knew her and she will be sorely missed.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Broken Arrow Neighbors, where Linda volunteered for many years
