Lucretia Jeter Woodburn was born April 22, 1952, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Abraham Jeter and Dorothy D. Glasper. She peacefully entered Heaven's gates on July8, 2022, at the age of 70, surrounded by her children. She attended C.A. Johnson High School Class of 1969, Columbia, SC; Lucretia later obtained a Certificate of Health Science in Pre-Health Studies from Midland Technical College, Columbia, SC.

Lucretia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had such a big heart. She wouldn't entertain gossip or talking down about others. She always chose to see the good in people; when she couldn't see it, she prayed about it. She loved God with her whole heart and left a legacy of honor, strength, loving others, and a servant's heart; her latter was indeed more significant! She never stopped giving of herself. She often said that she felt it was her turn to give back since she didn't do that in her early years. She was right by the side of every sibling that needed an advocate when their health was challenged, two of them until death. She was the primary caregiver for her mother, Dorothy Glasper, until she stepped into glory last year. Even when she felt her worst, she gave. She gave back until she wasn't physically able. Her children had to plead with her to rest, but she was determined to give and serve others, attending church until she couldn't. For many years before her passing, she would politely remind everyone not to call between 8 PM and 10 PM, because it was the time she carved out to spend with Jesus. During that time, she would journal out her devotionals using a three-subject notebook. She would keep the journals in her car and, when led by Holy Spirit, give them to people she did not know. She also ordered large quantities of The Daily Bread Devotionals for seniors in nursing home communities. She was an avid reader with an extensive Christian book collection, which she loved. She loved puzzles and hoped to frame her completed work to share with others someday. Even in her death, she wanted to give to others. She was always hungry/eager to learn. Years ago, she shared with family and friends that she would be donating her body to The University of South Carolina (USC) health sciences program at the time of her passing. She asked her children not to challenge that when the time came. With her passing in Oklahoma, the family was logistically challenged with returning her body to USC. Instead, USC coordinated the donation through The University of Oklahoma (OU). Lucretia will continue to give and help others with their education for a lifetime!

Lucretia was preceded by her father, Abraham Jeter, her mother, Dorothy D. Glasper, andher two brothers, Rayfield and Alexander Jeter. Lucretia is survived by her children Felix (Ardie) Jeter of Columbia, SC, Autavia (Nikki) Sharp (Reginald) of Tulsa, OK, and Michael (Duane) Woodburn of Surprise, AZ. Abrother, Pastor Abraham (Chrystal Carr) Jeter, Jr., Pastor of Church of God of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Loraine Booker, Nazerine Preshay Rice both of Columbia, SC, Vivaloria Houston (Joseph) of Charlotte, NC, and Dorothy Angela Profit (Harry) of Virginia Beach, VA; three aunts Josephine D. Smiley, Nazerine D. Morgan and Leola N. Dicks all of Aiken, SC.; a host of grands, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
