Margaret Ann Hill passed away peacefully in her own bed Monday, December 23, 2019.
Married to Hugh Hill for 59 years until his passing in 2017, she will be missed by her kids; Hank Hill, Dennis Hill and his wife Lori, and her grand kids; Mike and Grant Hill; and many close friends. Born in Joplin, MO and moving to Tulsa when she was young, she and Dad were lifelong resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Margaret started working at the bank in various positions after graduation from High School. She met dad and married in 1958, after meeting him on a blind date. Her career as devoted wife, mother, daughter, friend, and "bonus" mom to nieces and nephews, the Johnson kids, and many of her sons' friends, was a joy in her life.
Mom loved going to baseball games for both her sons and grand kids, never once complaining about the heat of the summer or the cold of the early season games.
Her highlight had to be her grand kids, Mike and Grant. "Nana" was always ready for them to come spend the night where she would make spaghetti, every time, which as both boys would say was the best ever. It was just made with Ragu out of a jar.
She loved watching them ride the trike inside on an envisioned race track around the house, bumping into walls on the turns. It didn't matter to mom, she would just say "they are fine, this is Nana's house!" Most of all she loved tucking them in at bedtime and making them breakfast in the morning.
As a mom, she loved unconditionally, gave of herself freely, happily took the job as taxi driver when we were young, fierce protector, believed in us without fail, and "mom'd" us" until December 22

Mom and Dad's marriage was one of compassion, understanding, hard work, but most of all love. Through good times and rough times, they stood together and raised two kids to be "somewhat" (ha ha) responsible adults, became grandparents, and lived full lives.
By God's grace, Mom and Dad are holding hands again, restored, and are at peace.
Mom, you will
be greatly missed.
