Marilyn Jean Wilson passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 90. She was born on October 18, 1933, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma to Arthur and Christine Moore (Cromer), and was the second of four daughters. Marilyn graduated high school in Barnsdall and attended Oklahoma State University where she graduated in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in music and education. Marilyn took a teaching job in Hominy, Oklahoma, where she met Jet Wilson, who was a football coach and teacher. They married in 1959 and started a family right away.

Jet's career took them to many different towns in Oklahoma and Texas over the years, where Marilyn would either take a teaching job or stay home with their babies. Marilyn was always the number one cheerleader in the stands for Friday night lights, when all four of her sons, and later grandsons, played football. She was well-loved by her students and fellow teachers, and her own children learned to love music as she did.  Marilyn was a fantastic cook and always treated her family to delicious meals. She was a great Nana to her 13 grandchildren and took joy in coaching them about life. She taught school for 48 years and took pride in helping her students appreciate the art of music.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Jet Wilson, her sister Dorothy Jane Moore, and her grandson Jancy Jet Wilson.

She is survived by her sisters Trish Mace and Dianne Fisher; her daughter Valerie and husband Gino DeMarco, son Sean and wife Diane Wilson, son Trent and wife Ashley Wilson, son Drew Wilson, and son Wade and wife Michelle Wilson; her grandchildren Reese and wife Catherine Wilson, Theo DeMarco, Keslie and husband Sean O'Rear, Haley and husband David Epstein, Brianna DeMarco and fiancé Barrett Barger, Savannah Wilson, Kaul Wilson, Madeline Wilson, Quinn and wife Taylor Wilson, Sophie DeMarco, Wren Wilson, Press Wilson; and her great-grandchildren Syler Wilson, Salem Wilson, Ryder Epstein, Atlas Wilson, Noah Epstein, Ares Wilson, and Finley O'Rear.
