Martin "Glenn" Godsey, 87, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on June 1, 1937, in Amarillo, Texas, Glenn was the son of Dillard Wayne Godsey and Lottie Mae Godsey.

Glenn's love for music began at age four when he started playing the fiddle.  He loved old-time music, bluegrass, and jazz. Glenn also enjoyed the yo-yo. He had been a yo-yo champion since the late 1940s and was a sponsored yo-yo team member. He practiced his music and yo-yo daily until his stroke. Glenn was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. One of his paintings is displayed at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles. He began studying Buddhism and meditation in his teenage years.

After graduating from Amarillo High School, he earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Tulsa and taught at the University of Tulsa's School of Art for over 40 years. As a professor, he taught drawing, painting, art history, digital art, and graphic design. He was awarded the title of Professor Emeritus of Art for his dedication to his students and the university. Glenn won awards for his watercolor paintings and was included in Who's Who in American Art. He also worked at the Gilcrease Museum.

Glenn was a devoted husband to his wife of 33 years, Deborah (Debby) Ann Godsey. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kallen Godsey, who passed away on April 20, 2017, and his brother, Neil Wayne Godsey, who passed on October 19, 2017.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his granddaughter, Shae Matisse (Godsey) Zsiga, and her husband Samuel Glen Zsiga; and his two great-grandsons, Kallen James Zsiga and Joah Glenn Zsiga.

A Celebration of Life will be held in early 2025 at the University of Tulsa
