Mary Hight, 88, passed away on the morning of February 11th near her home of nearly 60 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born Mary Elizabeth Blair on July 9, 1930 to Oscar and Thelma Blair in Ft. Worth, Texas as the oldest of two. In December of 1946, she married her husband, Orvil Lee Hight. The four of them (including Mary's step- sons Orvil Jr. & Gerry) lived in Dallas, Texas until 1959 when they moved to Tulsa. Before moving, Mary and Orvil welcomed two more sons, Michael Lee & Marshall Timothy. Once in Tulsa, Mary and Orvil opened the largest Kirby dealership in the nation over the course of the next 20 years where Mary kept track of the books while taking care of the family and house. After her husband's passing in 1982, Mary filled her time with her 4 grandkids, Lisa, Brandon, Meghan, Bonnie and her church, 1st Presbyterian in downtown Tulsa where she taught 4 year old Sunday School close to 20 years and served as a Deaconess.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Thelma and Oscar Blair, husband Orvil, step- sons Orvil Jr. and Gerry, brother Oscar Thomas, and daughter- in- law, Barbara. In love, she leaves behind her sons Mike and Tim Hight, daughter- in- law Ann, grandchildren Lisa Kelly, Brandon Hight, Meghan Bender and Bonnie Casteel (each with their respective spouse: Greg, Tara, Chris, T.J.). She leaves behind 12 great- grandchildren who brought her great joy: Dylan, Wade, Kennedy, Allyson, Drake, Matt, Hayden, Annie, Sawyer, Maddox, Libby and Ladd.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the 1st Presbyterian Church Tulsa, Children's Ministries.
