Mary Joyce Worsham was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away on October 10, 2022, at the age of 87.

She was born to Carl and Alma Young on December 15, 1934, in Sperry, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, J.B., daughter Susie Henning and husband Jeff of Tulsa, son James Burgess Worsham of Tulsa, and grandchildren, Savanna Faith Henning and Jacob Burgess Henning and stepdaughter Brenda Pinson. She is also survived by brothers Danny Young of Mannford, Roger Young of Oilton, Albert Young, also of Oilton, and many loving nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Carl Young, and James Young, and sisters Betty Young Stites and Geraldine Young Messick.

She was known as MeMe to Faith and Jake, Aunt Joyce to family, and Momma to every kid who entered her front door.

After graduating from Mannford High School in 1953 she moved to Tulsa where she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was living the single life in the big city and then she met J.B. and they married on February 11, 1961. He visited her daily in memory care and his love for her was one that sets an example for all of us. They had a long and fun marriage that included a Harley Davidson motorcycle at one time, lots of RV travel and she loved watching high school and college basketball.

Joyce was active in PTA at Holmes Elementary and Wright Junior High and was always available to help friends or family. Many know how to drive a manual stick shift car today because of Aunt Joyce. She enjoyed trips to see her grandchildren, camping, and a glass of sweet tea on the porch visiting with neighbors.

Visitation is scheduled on Thursday, October 13, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 - 8:00 at Stanley's Funeral Home Chapel at 3959 E. 31st Street in Tulsa. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Stilwell City Cemetery in Stilwell, Oklahoma.

The family would like to thank The Grove Memory Care, Emerald Hospice, and all those who cared for Joyce for the past two years. Joyce loved Jesus and is reunited with loved ones and friends.
