Melvin Lee Carpenter passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on November 24, 2023, surrounded by his family after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma, cancer of the bone marrow.  Mel was born in 1941 in Okmulgee, OK to Willard and Lorene Carpenter and graduated from Council Hill High in 1958.  Mel is survived and will be missed by his loving sweetheart, Carol Bolding; sons, Lynn Carpenter (wife Paula), Russell Carpenter (wife Joanna) and daughter LaDena Carpenter; brother Joe Carpenter & wife Linda; Grandchildren Brandon, Jesse, Casey, Aaron, Justin, Dylan, Conner, Mandy, Zach, Brittany, and multiple Great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his Father Willard William Carpenter, mother Lorene Elizabeth Carpenter, brother Richard Odell Carpenter and grandson, Matthew.
