Nan waited, and waited, and waited to go home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, until early Friday morning January 15, 2021. She was Ready! The family had said their goodbyes earlier and with her two daughters, Jane and Susan at her side she made the peaceful transition to heaven.

She was born Nancy Sue Lyle on October 25, 1926 to James and Mary Lyle in Muskogee Oklahoma, spending her growing up years in Parsons Kansas. She married O.R. Coker on December 19, 1947 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They were married for 60 years before his passing in 2008. Nan is survived by her three children son, Randy and wife Dorcus Coker; daughter, Jane and husband Lowell Peterson; daughter, Susan and husband Cullen Woods; along with 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, and her two special children from O.R.'s previous marriage, Lois Ann (L.A.) Almond and Richard (Ric) Rogers.

Nan was a strong woman of faith who passed that gift on to her children, and on to their children. She was a prayer - warrior who spent many hours praying for all her family and anyone else that she knew who was hurting or sick or just needed encouragement. For years she taught a ladies Sunday school class and ministered to them with a loving and giving heart.

Nan was a woman of action! Everyone of her family and others remember her cookies, pies, candy, cakes, cobblers, canned goods and congo squares which she made by hand for all those special occasions, even boxing and mailing her goodies to those out of town. She loved to sew, making clothes for her children and grandchildren. Over the years Nan challenged herself to learn watercolor painting, calligraphy, making pine needle-raffia baskets, nylon scrubbers for dishes, crocheting baby bonnets for premature babies in the hospital, and other helpful useful things for everyone. She loved staying busy doing for others. As she got older and her hands "wouldn't work", she would mention with deep regret that she wasn't able to do for others anymore. Nan spent her last three years at Baptist Village in Owasso Oklahoma. The family greatly expresses their thanks and appreciation for her during her time there. Her family will miss her but are rejoicing that she is at home in heaven.
