Our loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, and Cousin, Nan Sue (Downing) Laughter, was welcomed into Heaven on March 31, 2026. Born on June 25, 1959, to Louis and Carolyn Downing, she was the second child and the oldest daughter of the family. Nan grew up in Tulsa, attending William Penn Elementary and Monroe Middle School before graduating from McLain High School in 1977, where she was honored by her classmates as a homecoming attendant.

Nan was an incredibly hard-working mother and grandmother who dedicated decades to a career in accounting. She spent over ten years at Tom Gorman Company in Tulsa, followed by time at Frontier International Trucking, and eventually retired from National Steak and Poultry in Owasso. Outside of the office, she loved the excitement of working at Tulsa Raceway Park and assisting with Proud American Motorsports.

Family was the center of Nan’s world. She is survived by her two daughters, Nan Cori (Laughter) Blair and husband Jordan, and Kati Sue Laughter and fiancée Travis Cannon. She was a proud grandmother to Cody Blair and fiancée Morgan Dickinson, and Adrian Mares, and a doting great-grandmother to Dakota and Clay Blair. She also leaves behind her siblings, Danny Downing, Jan (Downing) Pierce and husband Jerry, and John Downing and wife Mary Priscilla, along with numerous nieces and nephews—with even more on the way.

Nan will be missed and continue to be loved and remembered by all who were privileged to have known her. She was a light in the lives of her family and friends, who find comfort in knowing they will see her again. We will all see you when we get there. Love you, Momma.
