Obituary

Patricia Potter was born March 8, 1925 to Orrin Thomas Potter and Nina Reed Potter in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She was educated in Sapulpa and graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1942. She began her college education at Colorado Women's College and transferred to the University of Oklahoma after her freshman year. While there she became a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She met the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Fentem of Ada, OK at OU. After her graduation from OU, they married at Church of the Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Sapulpa in 1947.
Dick and Pat began their family in 1950 with the birth of Kristen followed by Cynthia in 1952 and Richard, Jr. in 1954. Dick's work as a geophysicist with Amerada Oil Company took them to many parts of this country and North Africa exploring for oil. In 1962, they settled in Tulsa. Besides being an excellent mother, Pat became involved in their church, St Dunstan's Episcopal Church, PEO Chapter DX, and the Tulsa Geophysical and Geological Association Wives.
After Dick retired in 1980, the couple traveled extensively and loved being grandparents. Pat, also, enjoyed her work with Assistance League helping children pick out clothes for the new school year. Pat will always be remembered for her warmth and graciousness. She made people feel important and very welcome.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, her parents, Orrin and Nina, her sister, Susan Rogers and her infant great-grandson, Macoy Bonner. She is survived by her children Kristen Bonner (and husband, Glenn), Cynthia Moffitt (and husband, Tom) and Dr. Richard Fentem (and wife, Laura). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews.
