It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Peyton Marie Ratliff, who left us far too soon on December 5, 2024, at the age of 14. Peyton was born on June 20, 2010, to Megan Thackery and Brandon Ratliff in Tahlequah, OK.

Peyton's vibrant spirit and kind heart touched everyone she met. A friend to all, she radiated positivity and compassion. She loved all animals, especially her dogs, and enjoyed horseback riding. Peyton also took part in gymnastics, ballet, lacrosse, and her school band and drama teams. She loved swimming, hiking, riding her scooter, playing video games, and going to theme parks to ride the most terrifying roller coasters. Her favorite shows and movies, including Gilmore Girls, Harry Potter, and Twilight, were often a window into the whimsical world she cherished. Peyton was a lover of beauty, drawn to anything that sparkled, particularly the color blue, which seemed to reflect her own bright, unique soul.

Peyton's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her mother, Megan Thackery; father, Brandon Ratliff; stepfather, Richard Montiel; stepmother, Delena Ratliff; siblings, Lincoln Montiel; and stepsiblings, Sophia Montiel, Aria Braithwaite, and Rosalie Braithwaite.

We invite all who were touched by her warmth, her kindness, and her love for life to join us in remembering the beautiful light she brought into this world.  Bright colors, especially blue, are encouraged at Peyton's Celebration of Life.
