Richard Glenn "Dick" Todd of Tulsa passed away peacefully on 6/25/24.  He was born in Pine Bluff AR to Forrest and Effie Todd on 7/20/1927, where he grew up. He was recruited at age 17 in 1944 to attend Vanderbilt University.  His college career was interrupted by a call to serve his country, and he served as a mapmaker for General MacArthur.  He completed his degree in Metallurgical Engineering at Vanderbilt in 1949 after his military discharge.  He began his engineering career as a salesman for General Electric in Cleveland OH, who transferred him to Tulsa.

He married Jeanette Kathryn Macdonald in 1950, and they had four children: Laura Lee Stocker, Dale Stuart Todd, Sandra Kay Moss, and Scott Brian Todd.  He opened his first business, Automatic Welding Company, in the late 1950's. He owned other businesses specializing in aircraft repairs over several decades:  Todd/Klintworth International (now known as Nordam), Environmental Technologies Inc (ETI-Tulsa), and TPR (located in Pensacola FL).

He learned to fly using his GI Bill and was a lifelong pilot for business and pleasure, owning his own plane.  He was active in the Tulsa aerospace business community.

He married Betty Lynn (King) Newkirk in 1975, and they were together until her death in 2020.  They enjoyed world travel together and spent partial years in the Pensacola area.  They lived at Grand Lake for 11 years, enjoying golfing, boating, and lake life.  In later years they moved back to Tulsa and lived at Montereau from 2004 until the present.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura Stocker and Sandie Moss, and by his stepdaughter, Melanie (Newkirk) Trook, as well as his sisters, Betty Allbritton (Bismarck, AR), and Lin McMillen (Wichita KS).  He was preceded in death by his sons Dale Todd and Scott Todd, his wife Betty, and his granddaughter, Tiffany Todd. He is survived by seven grandchildren: Cavin Stocker, Emily Todd Johnson, Dustin Todd, Kevin Todd, Aaron Weber, Dusty Weber Lamay, and Daniel Weber. He had thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, enjoying spending time with all of them.
