Ronald Lee Tucker, 75, born March 23, 1946 in Tulsa, OK, the oldest of nine, passed away in Tulsa Wednesday 4/21/21. He was born to Doris Nadean and Robert F Kortendick in Tulsa and was raised by his mother and adoptive Father Charles J Tucker. He married his high school sweetheart Sherrie Smith Tucker November 6, 1964 and again April 1, 2007, both times in Tulsa.
He is survived by his wife Sherrie, his children Barbara Saleta Videll – Tulsa, Richard Allen Tucker - Tulsa, Patrick Allen Tucker (Nenette) - San Diego, Six Grandchildren: Keely Kirby - NYC, Michaela Morrow - NC, Avery Videll - Norman, Riley Videll - Edmond, Brady Videll - Tulsa, Leo Tucker - San Diego, two great grandchildren, Marceline and Amarah - NC, brothers Rodger Tucker - Tulsa, Thomas Tucker - Afton, and Dave Kortendick - WA and numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends, as well as legion and military friends, many high school classmates including his closest friends still to the date of his death Charles Upton (Patricia) and Jerry Myers (Romona)
He was preceded in death by Father Charles J Tucker, Mother Doris Tucker, Father Robert Kortendick, Step Mother Barbara Kortendick, Brother Charles J Tucker Jr., Brother Michael T Tucker, Brother Patrick A Tucker, Brother Robert Kortendick and Sister Dianna Kortendick Morgan.
He was career military serving in the United States Air Force for 20 plus years. After the Air Force he spent 33 years in the High Desert Country of Sierra Vista, AZ before moving back to Tulsa in 2019. He was active in the Arizona American Legion Post and SAL Squadron 52 as well as the Copper City Voiture 987 of the 40 and 8 until the time of his death. He loved hunting, fishing, playing shuffleboard and pegs and jokers.
Memorial Services will be held at Stanley's Funeral Home Chapel, 3959 E 31 st St., Tulsa, OK on Friday May 7 th at 11:00 am followed by a reception in Stanley's Club Room. Interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests you donate to the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation or the 40 and 8 Nurses Training Scholarship Program. These donations can be sent to American Legion Post 52 or 40 and 8 Voiture 987, c/o Frank Hirrill, 1445 Via Viento, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635 in his name.
