Obituary

Ruth Ellen Mendoza gained her wings and made her heavenly reunion on Saturday, April 10 th 2021 at 1:46 AM surrounded by her children.

She was born to Roman Butler and Juanita Ruth Kelly in Claremore Oklahoma on February 18 th , 1971. She lived her life moment to moment always keeping everyone on their toes wondering what she would do next. Using her experiences to fuel her incredible humor, she made everyone around her laugh. She enjoyed reading Danielle Steel books, cooking and listening to music. She wanted to spend all her time with family and friends whether it be watching OU football or going on outings. The thing she cherished most was the time she spent with all her grandchildren. Always ensuring to instill her traditional Creek values in all aspects of her life as a proud native woman. She had 4 children but was a mother to all gaining her nickname "Momma Ruth". She will be deeply missed and remembered. Forever and Always.

She is survived by her 4 children, Earl Howe and Bambi Sundeen of Ponca City, Elaina Howe and Gerardo Garcia of Blackwell, Ryan Butler of Ponca City, and Prudencio Mendoza of Newkirk. Grandchildren, Jadelyn Sundeen, Cassalyn Sundeen, Abrianna Garcia, Addison Butler, Jackson Butler. Two brothers, Roger and Marina Butler of Bowlegs, and Randall Butler of Tulsa. She took on the mom and grandma role with pride to her nieces and nephews; Cory Butler and his children Kylie, Cristopher, Chitto, Mona, Cory Jr – Rayna Butler and her children Brionna, Jonas Jr, and Taycvte – Amy Barnett and her children Erika, Jasmine, Zailee (Zuzu), Michael (Buddy) – Dakota Marshall and his daughter Jordan (Juice) – RaeLynn Butler and countless other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Father Roman Butler, Mother Juanita Kelly, Sister Ramona Butler, Brother Ronald Butler, and Grandson Leo Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Jackson Butler, Blake Day, Cory Butler, Dakota Marshall, Jonas Thornton, Gerardo Garcia, Colton Butler, Hunter Bales, Chad Bales, Sean Allen, and Michael Snyder.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Butler, Brent Butler, and Gannon Brown.
