Sherri Marguerite (Tilley) Hutto passed on April 19th, 2024, at the age of 73, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa surrounded by her family.

Sherri was the first-born daughter to Fredrick Leroy and Ruby Jean Tilley on September 24th, 1950. She grew up in Bartlesville and Ochelata, Oklahoma. She graduated from Ochelata High School in 1968. She met and married the love of her life, (Tom) William Thomas Hutto Sr. on August 29th, 1969.

After college years at OSU in Stillwater, Sherri and Tom traveled the world together. During their young adult lives, they lived in Denver, Colorado; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Walnut Creek, California; Grapevine, Texas; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sherri loved to travel. She visited England, Germany, Greece, Thailand, Mexico and Canada, Hawaii, Alaska and pretty much all of the lower 48.

Sherri worked as an executive secretary while in Saudi, then in the states at Merrill Lynch, Goodwill, and several other offices along the way. She was blessed to not have to work her entire life and was able to enjoy many of life's pleasures. She was a great cook, reader, scrap booker, traveler, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, grandmother, aunt, and great aunt. Sherri loved a good book, book on tape, movie, theater, and the occasional soap opera. She also loved being outdoors birdwatching, camping, hiking, being at the lake and sitting on a patio or porch anywhere. Sherri and Tom both loved OSU football and basketball, CNN news and an ice-cold beer or margarita.

Sherri loved her family and friends deeply, and would do anything for them. She always made sure you knew that she loved you and would tell you frequently. She really enjoyed spending time with her parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. She was always there when you needed her. Sherri was extremely giving, loyal and unselfish with her time and energy.

Sherri was preceded in death by her husband William Thomas Hutto Sr.; mother Ruby Jean (Stewart) Tilley; father-in-law John Forbes Hutto and mother-in-law Elsie Mae (Newberry); brother-in-law, John Hutto Jr. She is survived by her father Fredrick Leroy Tilley; son William Thomas Hutto Jr. and wife Katie, grandchildren Allie, Ruthie, Clay, Myles and Hayden; daughter Jennifer Myers and husband Cary, grandchildren Ben and Blaine; brother Freddy Tilley and wife Loretta; sister Pam Kelly and husband Gary; sister-in-law Nancy Park and husband John; brother-in-law David Hutto and wife Liz; sister in law Brenda Hutto; Also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, a plethora of friends and of course her loving dog Bella.
