Surinder Nath Sarin passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 26, 2024 at the age of 85. He was born on October 17, 1939 to Sohan Lal and Prakashwati Sarin in Delhi, India. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics (Hons) from Hindu College, Delhi University. He worked as a Meteorologist with the Indian Meteorological Department until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed his time in retirement with his wife, his two sons and their wives, and three grandchildren.

He was a loving husband and father who worked hard all his life and sacrificed everything to nurture his family. He will forever be remembered for his cheerful disposition, his love for life, his willingness to help, and the inspiration he gave to others through his actions and deeds.

He is survived by Santosh, his wife of 57 years, Vivek (son), Vandana (daughter in law), Parth (grandson), Medha (grand daughter), Pankaj (son), Manisha (daughter in law), and Anika (granddaughter).
