Charlene Evans, 80, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. Born on March 17, 1945, she was a St. Patrick's Day baby through and through — always full of life, love, and a little bit of mischief.

To everyone who knew her, Charlene wasn't just "Grandma" — she WAS Grandma. It wasn't just a title; it was who she was at her core. She poured her heart into her family, and nothing brought her more joy than being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her world, her greatest treasures, and her very best little friends. She lived for the moments spent holding tiny hands, sharing belly laughs, and making sure each of them felt safe, cherished, and deeply loved.

Charlene was hilarious. She never hesitated to ask a question — nothing was off-limits, and she always kept it real. Whether it was an unexpected Facebook post, a completely unfiltered comment, or a message that made you laugh (and maybe blush), you could always count on her to keep life entertaining.

She was also beautiful and stylish, always keeping up with the latest trends thanks to QVC and HSN. If there was something new and fashionable, she had to have it. She loved shopping trips to Dillard's, rearranging furniture (constantly), and sharing her favorite recipes with family and friends. And while St. Patrick's Day may have been her birthday, her favorite color was pink — a reflection of her warmth, vibrance, and the love she showed to everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Johnson, whom we know was waiting for her with open arms. She leaves behind a family who adored her, including her daughters, Candee Branz (husband, Gary Branz) and Brandee Crawford; her brother, Jay Barnett; her grandchildren, Savannah Mendenhall (husband, Cole Mendenhall), Cody Branz, Tiffanie Crawford, Bryce Crawford, and Brevin Crawford; her great-grandchildren, Blakely Mendenhall and Magnalynn Crawford; and her beloved dog, Coco Chanel, who never left her side and loved her just as much as the rest of us. Her love, laughter, and larger-than-life personality will live on in each of them.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28th from 4-6 PM at Stanley's Funeral Home.

Her love, humor, and warmth will be missed forever, but the joy and laughter she brought into our lives will never fade. 💖
